So many topics, we’ll pick a few to write about.
First, if one waits long enough you can usually get to the
bottom of the reasoning of someone. Such
is the case of ‘Hot Dog’ Eddie Miller, Gordon Boyd, the Independence Party and
Eddie’s girlfriend.
If you remember the Independence Party with Chairman Miller
and his back room buddy Gordon Boyd backed candidates Michele Madigan, Chris
Matheisen & Skip Scirocco within hours of their announcing that they were
running for their current Commissioner posts.
The so called political Party and its endorsements were made without one
interview of the candidates or their opponents, such is the case when one wants
something down the road. Hot Dog Eddie’s
girlfriend works for none other than Gordon Boyd and it is known that the Hot
Dog man has his horse barn & business up for sale for some fast needed
cash.
The talk around town is that Eddie
is looking to the Republican Party for a job handout and the way the Republican
Party seems to be backing Madigan, Matheisen & Scirocco (remember Scirocco
threatened retaliation against the Party in a Committee meeting if the Party
endorsed Republican Joseph Di Geso for Commissioner of Finance) we can now see
the thinking of Miller & Boyd’s decision to fast track the endorsements and
the Republican Party’s backing of 3 Democrats (Scirocco is included in the
quasi Democrat circle of Madigan, Matheisen).
So, it looks like Ken Ivins will be the Republican candidate because he
procured more than the number of signatures required to be on the ballot much
to the disappointment of the Republican Party leadership and Skippy. Madigan will have a formidable opponent.
Talking about Madigan, why is she making a big fuss about
Yepsen using her campaign money for the Saratoga box? It’s legal and Madigan knows it. Madigan saying it is a political ploy is just
insane. She and Matheisen are losing
credibility after each Council meeting and Madigan has become the BUTT of more
jokes than any other Commissioner in Saratoga history. She created her own political ploy by bringing
the box issue to the TV news when it really is not an issue, although an issue
she and Matheisen hoped to make the Mayor look bad but instead misfired in
their faces, giving more good fodder to their opponents. Poor Skip, he lost his credibility a while
ago.
I always thought that Hot Dog Eddie was a good buddy to Tommy McT.
ReplyDeleteSo why is looking for favors from the reppublicans??
What's the mystery, why don't you name the new Director of DPW?
Do you think saratogian's really know what jokers Madigan, Matheisen & Scirocco are?
ReplyDeletePowerful 'Readers View' by Ken Ivins in the Sunday Saratogian. The article shows how low the Republican Party has set their standard by not backing at least 1 if the 2 candidates. Madigan will have her hands full in this race.
ReplyDeleteAll the Mad-a-gain's want to do is attack, attack, attack.
ReplyDeleteNo substance.
They are SO BAD for our city, they've got to be thrown out.
And Ivins can do it, especially with the help of a lot of Democrats!!!!!
Hey Cap
ReplyDeleteAny news on City Hall? or the 3 amigos? Anything else of note in the city?
Nothing you are saying make any sense. Iven's cut the budget and laid off tons of workers. Some never to be hired back, like the dispatches in DPW. Joe O"Neal claims that he needs more workers. Which is it. Some of the workers have shown that they only think of them selves. They didn't like Mctyuge 7 years ago, but know he is OK. They make no sense.
ReplyDeleteYou have a very short memory. Ivins cut the budget because the Governor pulled back the $3 million dollars of VLT money that was in our budget. Make sense? Scirocco has had enough money to hire all the workers back but refuses to do so. According to Madigan we have an unlimited surplus.

DeleteIt continues on and on. All skips problems were caused by mctygue and skip has worked real hard to fix everything.
As anyone can see, if they have watched over the many years, skip is a little liar. And finally things are really catching up with him where he can't cover it up any more.
So what does he do, he keeps sing the same song:
"the last administration left me with all this mess, la de da, la de da, oh poor me. it's mctygues fault, that's it, mctygue did it all......."
I guess I don't understand.
ReplyDeleteYou say something about a new Director of DPW, yet you don't give us his/her name. And I say, why not?
This modus operandi is mystifying.
It is, isn't it.
DeleteWhy was DPW the only one to lose a director and Ex. Sec. there were a lot of smaller offices. You make things up. The controllers office said that DPW had to put money back in the A budget and have a surplus, the only way that could happen was to increase the water rates. The past commissioner did that. They put all of that money into the B budget so they could go to Saratoga Lake.
ReplyDeleteThe fee to pay back the lake study money has been part of budgets for years. If all the increased water rates were used for this during Scirocco's last 6 years was used the amount would be paid off by now. He has put increased water rates on the backs of the taxpayers young and old while he Madigan & Matheisen cut off a great revenue source in the water hookup fees. This is all due to his lack of being able to run a department.
DeleteHuzzah!
DeleteThe money in the water hook up fee has to be 12 in. water pipe. How often does that happen?
ReplyDeletepoint?
Deleteit should happen on new construction, another item that Scirocco let slip by and turned a blind eye when Bonacio failed to do so.

DeleteThey also up dated geyser wells, up dated the water treatment plant, put in a generator. and the bog. Which the McTygue's never did. Even if you went to the lake the water treatment plant still need to be done. That cost money, that is why they didn't do it.
ReplyDeletemctygues' would have to have done this too, state mandates......again point?
Deleteyou really should write the answers to your questions down on a piece of paper. I answered your statement in an earlier post a month or two ago.
DeleteHey, Cap, what's the story on the train derailment? Is Amtrak doing a coverup? The news sure was kept pretty quiet. Wasn't even in the Saratogian, just the TU. Of course, now that Babs retired with her gold watch, things might start improving at the paper. The word on the street is that the Saratogian will go on the auction block soon.
ReplyDeleteAmtrak should be investigated for all the faulty tracks that exist in their rail system. They are accidents (like this one) waiting to happen.
I hope you got down to the accident to get some oil for you salads. This goes to show that train accidents can happen here and with the toxic waste being moved through the City I am not sure there is a coordinated plan by the Saratoga to address a potential disaster. If there is one I would think that every resident should be made aware of it.
DeleteAbout the 'talk around town' that the paper will be going up for auction in my opinion just a rumor, Digitalfirst Media will be working with the paper for a while yet.
Hey Cap
ReplyDeleteMust be something going on....
Are all of you on vacation???
ReplyDeleteNo, just waiting to get our City back.
Deleteok good, ok good, ok good
ReplyDeletey'know.....I really, really miss Babs Lombardo's blog.
ReplyDeleteNow I have no idea what her kids are doing.
good one
DeleteWho can take stock in DPW employees, Oneal, Big Josh, McGraw, DeMatteo, and that mean lady Farone. They screwed Mctyuge then they screws Scirocco. When they can't get what they want they go to the next guy.
ReplyDeleteOh Donna !! Get your lips off the D!!!
Deletea blog a month..........
ReplyDeleteAnd a chicken in every pot.
DeleteSaratoga just had a primary and you have nothing to say???
ReplyDeleteHow about a post on all the missing street signs (the new ones) and the damaged poles? How much is this vandalism costing the city and is anyone investigating this crime?
ReplyDeleteI'll yield to Matheisen on this one, it seems people think he keeps them informed. At least the Democrats do, they reaffirmed their belief in the primary.
Delete3 bloggers and no posts? Nothing leading up to the primary nor after? For real?
ReplyDeleteSo much happening! Where the hell are you?
