CAN THIS BE REAL OR AM I IN A NIGHTMARE?

I watch the City Council meetings and the show the 3 amigos put on is getting funnier each meeting.  Commissioner Matheisen sits back in his chair with his fingers tapping against each other, Skip staring out to who knows where only waking up to say crazy things like ‘I think some of the homeless are serial killers and Madigan, well what can you say about her, she is just too out of it.  Anyone who attends the meetings or watches them knows the great martini Madigan wants to be Mayor and she is treating her constituents like dirt, unlike the current Mayor.

Now we have bull dog David Bonner at the mic again at every Council meeting berating the Mayor instead of Madigan, Skip and Matheisen for acting like dummies at the table.  Bronner is like the big bad wolf  but his bluster is not good enough to be believed.
Now, about Skippy.  The story is that a few times a week Skip, Deputy Dog Buckley and Madigan are at Jacob & Anthony’s imbibing in a (few?) adult beverages.  Why Madigan can’t even hide her straw that is in her carafe of the vino she drinks.

Those of you know I write about my funny little guy Skip quite a bit, there is nothing wrong with the little fella except he is way out of his league holding the position he occupies on the Council.  Skip was a very capable animal control officer, corralling doggies and getting cats out of trees, chasing skunks and even a raccoon or two.  Advice warning…. Skip, you should have stayed at the job you were born to do.

Anyone that wants to know what the DPW workers do during the day only has  to look anywhere that sells coffee, ding dongs (named after he who can’t be mentioned) and lottery tickets.  Also, stand on Broadway and you can see trucks with the same identifing number going round and round.

Madigan again sucked up to Skip at the 5/3 Council meeting, saying that she congratulates Skip for the job well done and for returning some money back into the budget.  Well, the DPW fleet is in such disrepair it is an embarrassment, why didn’t you put some money into that part of the business Skip and why didn’t Madigan address that point when she was shining your ding dong?

A question for Skip, you always say how much infrastructure you have done, what is the % of what the DPW has done and what the outside firms you hire at big $ have done?  Please list the number and jobs so we can laugh at your explanations like we do when you try to make a point  at a meeting.  Skip, no one can understand what you are talking about.

Another smiling matter, all this nonsense about the hospital deal.  Madigan, Skip and Matheisen are going against the will of the residents of that area. Skippy said ‘we should get the home owners together with the hospital and maybe something can be worked out’, SKIP get this through your head, at every meeting the home owners do not want to talk to the hospital, they do not want the mammoth building with all the black top parking spaces, they do not want their property values to plunge, what in the heck don’t you get? You are blank but can’t Madigan sit you on her lap and explain it to you?  Although she doesn’t get it .   Madigan says we have so much of a fund balance then why doesn’t she talk to her fellow Council members and purchase the houses now at the current market values then let Sonny build away?  Talk about conflict of interest, Bonacio was a member of the Comp Committee and he stands to gain the big bucks for building the facility.  This could be another reason why the Skipster forgave the 1 million dollars in fees Bonacio owed the City in water hookup fees and the 3 amigos voted in favor in changing that part of the Charter in eliminating said fees.  Do you see a pattern?  Follow the money friends, follow the money.  More on Skippy & the other 2 amigos later, for now sit back and relax, watch a rerun of a Council and laugh your head off.

  2. Hope the AG is still auditing her Dept & DPW's Dept. These two Commissioners are way too cozy with each other. Scirocco steals, & Mad Again covers it up for him. This allows her to lead the "Little Man" around by his nose ring!

If you think there is nothing wrong with this form of government you don't know how government is supposed to work, and this form doesn't work at all.

    1. OK, here goes. If you need to know how this form of government works as opposed to others then no one will be able to make you understand. You are either a City offical or an old time Saratogian who couldn't care less just as long as the water is running, the leaves are picked up and you can vote every 2 years. As Comm. Matheisen said at a past Council meeting "this form limits the people who can run for office" and that's sad.

    2. Skip will take care of his friends and his family first. Look at what he did for hie neighbors, replacing sewer & water lines then repaving the street when there are many more serious streets that could use the upgrades.

  8. So Skippy is going to renovate the music hall to the tune of 3 million. This will end up being 6 to 12 million with his construction management skills. Another capital budget amendment.

    1. Where did you get the information that the Commissioner is the one who wants to renovate the third floor. There is a requirement from the State that City Hall has a second court room. This is not optional and the third floor is just one option. The entire city council will need to make this determination.

    2. The majority of the Council will decide, don't be delusional, the majority of Madigan, Mathiesen & Scirocco will decide.

    3. Well that is how it works. The majority does rule. And while yes they vote together frequently, note that Commissioner Mathiesen does vote his own way just as frequently.

    4. Yes the majority does rule and Matheisen may have voted against his 2 other amigos twice but he is tied to the skirt strings of Madigan just as Skip is and he will not disobey her orders, so you see from the beginning there has been a solid 3.

    ReplyDelete
  13. If it was a Council meeting you can watch it from the recording, if it was a meeting in McTygue's office that can't be foiled.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Also, if you did indeed talk to McTygue years ago what took the Skipster so long to do the job? If there is too much sewage on one street, check out the Commissioner and make sure he isn't full of it.

    ReplyDelete
  15. He had to put it on a list. Bigger job first. There was Nelson ave. project, South Broadway, G C water plant, Saratoga water plant, wells, Beekman St. Washington St. and many more. The Commish has done a great job with what he has.

    1. Really? He subs out 95% of all DPW jobs to outside contractors instead of doing the jobs in house. What the heck are we paying a ridiculous salary for 2 City Engineers. Skip has done none of these jobs, outside companies have done them and 2 or 3 could have been going on at the same time. And let's not get into the big issue on the water source we are using and how that affects the citizens health. Bad, very bad.

      Delete
  16. So from the look of things, you may get your wish Captain. Skipppy will have done his ten years and gotten his pension and healthcare forever. Good for him bad for the taxpayers.
He will avoid doing his ten years in jail by giving up Deputy Donna to the AG for exceeding her power and authority, which she did by telling Bonacio the fee were waived. The rumor is Bonacio kept the email from the Deputy but has refused to give it up, insurance ya know. With that and the other documents that the ex-employees have suggested the comptroller look at it should be a slam dunk, for at least 5 years of room and board at the doggie motel and no pension ever for the deputy dawg.
Skippy's street is all paved and the sewer done, elevating the value of his home by $75,000-95,000, and both of his kids have long term high paying jobs with the city and pensions.

"Building for the Future", was that not his campaign slogan? He kept his promise to build his family empire at taxpayer expense, so he is all set. Skippy should say "got to go, before the jailer gets here," if not then it is Skippy's got to go.

  17. Speaking of water source, Captain.
How many citizens remember the moratorium that was placed on building new construction. It was because McTygue told us that there could be no more new construction until a new water source was found. At that same time, we were already using Geyser Crest water, Bog Meadow and Loughberry Lake. McT wanted to switch over to using Saratoga Lake.
But, fast forward, here we are almost 30 years later, still using the same three water sources, building thousands (yes thousands) of new hotel rooms and hundreds of new condos and apartments. Not counting the enlarged schools, bigger crowds at the flat track, Racino, blah blah.
If we have a drought year, we will all be wishing we listened, but so far, things are fine. Goes to show you.

    1. The report from the State concerning our water source was as valid now as it was then, we need a new water source and the home owners in the lake area should be ashamed of themselves for fighting it. I for one do not think we need a fire or EMS station over there but the crying from those people rivals the water fight, goes to show you.

  18. Captain explain to 1:05 in more detail about the warnings over the past 3+ years from State Health over the poor handling of lack of quantity of water in the city to meet the current need and potential need with a drought.
Nothing was done for a LONG time and then they start drill more wells at Bog Meadow, what a JOKE.
A 3 week drought will bring the city to it's knees, just wait.

  23. As it looks now he was probably right. Our water source is getting worse and the water is getting bad. This information was given to the City by the State DOH and Skippy in his infinite wisdom would not pay the $2,000.00 to keep the study on a shelf where it could have been updated from that point on (he probably didn't have the money because of the give backs to developers or to Madigan). A new State study will cost the City millions of dollars and we can thank the lake association developments for that. 1:05, if there is a major problem at Loughberry (we only own 10% of the lake) no amount of Skippy's wells will give us the amount of water we will need, and I have no sis or bro!

SO Skippy has installed, at taxpayer expense, all of these new park benches for the homeless to sleep on. The police have no right to warn or cite anyone for sitting on the park benches or the grass. Way to go Skippy, vote to target the homeless and make our parks look horrible and unsafe.
