Next Tuesday is Election and I hope everyone will
seriously think about the 3 unopposed Commissioners running and use your right
to write in a name. Below are my picks.
Mayor – Meg Kelly – she has experience running the
office, is smart and reacts great with people
Commissioner of Public Safety – Peter Martin - He worked out well as Supervisor and his
legal background is a benefit. Mr. Braim
is a retired police officer and on a City pension, not a good mix as I think a
non -police person should do the job as Commissioner with the Police & Fire
Chief running their own show with the Commissioner working with them when they
need anything.
City Court Judge – Francine Vero – she has the experience
being on the bench and also no one knows who the heck her opponent is.
Now to write in these names :
Commissioner of Accounts – Gordon Boyd (you don’t need to
be a CPA, just good)
Commissioner of Finance – Jeffery Altimeri – CPA, Former
Senior Vice-President of Finance of a company doing 19 Billion dollars of
business a year, yes, $19 BILLION. I think I would trust his financial
recommendations over who we have now and he most likely wouldn’t have put the
City in a 1 million dollar Budget deficit this year. Also as John Franck said at a Council
meeting about Comm. Madigan –
paraphrasing ‘she is a librarian not a finance director’.
Commissioner of Public Works – Patrick Kane – why? He found out Skippy’s nickname - Chicken S.
County Supervisors:
Vote for 2 out of the 4 running
Matt Veitch, John Safford, Tara Gaston, Pat Freisen
This is a tough one to pick as all 4 are very good
candidates and I wish we could vote for all 4.
Alas, it cannot be, so here it is.
1. Matt
Veitch – he has the experience, gets things done and works with Republicans
& Democrats equally
2. Tara
Gaston – Young, great ideas and a background to get things done.
As I said they all are good candidates and good people so
good luck to all 4.
CHARTER CHANGE – VOTE YES – turn your ballot over and
vote YES to proposal 4.

Mark Baker's personal life has caused Senator Kathy Marchoine to completely distance herself from Baker.

Re-Consider? The 3 write ins are at least competition that the 2 Party's obviously don't want. The rest stay as they are. This is the best ticket for Saratoga. If mark Baker gets in we'll be tied up in court for years and he'll only do what is good for himself. He has too much personal baggage that he is carrying around and it might come to bite him in the rear soon.

His domestic issues with his daughter.
He was director-for 35 years and he has no garage to shoe for it, yet he was paid a 10,000.00 bonus in spite of no garage

I just found out that Jane Weihe is John Kaufman's wife. Little wonder his articles on Charter are biased. He gets his marching orders from Jane.

ReplyDelete2016 City lost 1.1 Million dollars, 2017 is in the whole again. The City Council has already votes to use 2.5 Million dollars from "the reserve fund".
Is that good government? Hell NO. None of these donors would run their business like that. Our lack of professionalism benefits them not us.
I have watch the good old boys for years. I AM VOTING and I am voting YES.

I heard that the TU has foiled Parillo's late city tax bills. Allegedly he and madigan have been meeting to discuss her renting the Saratogian Building. During those meetings, he complained about late fees. She said that she could waive the late fees.

Funny you posted this. I was talking to some friends earlier and 4 of them posted a reply to his latest 'Richard Fenton,Bob Turner'post and they said none of them made it on. He might have to get permission from Jane and she doesn't like too many pro charter responses.
DeleteI find it fascinating that the GOP would even allow Mark Baker to run for Mayor. He was the most disinterested individual when he ran the city center. He didn't give a damn on how things were getting done, like he couldn't be bothered. Now he wants to run the city like he ran the city center? WOW. If he is elected this you will understand what I am talking about but by then it will be too late.

If charter does not pass the Republicans will never ever take control of the council again. I went to school with John Franck and I could predict that he would blow it as a commissioner. What is he on his forth wife? Stability is not in his gene pool.He is a chump and a cheat.
The Democratic Mayor Kelly will have her office for many years. There are no Republicans up to taking her on. The only viable candidate is Matt Veitch and even his voting totals are diminishing.
Any updates on The Frank Parillo late fee scandal in Finance? Seems that Michele madigan waived his late fees. It is illegal for her to do that. Without council approval, just like skippy waiving water connection fees. Folks it is costing the public!!!
ReplyDeleteMrs Sciroco was a mess on Tuesday Night. Crying and carrying on about how she wants Skip to resign because no one likes and respects him. She is right he should resign. The real Commissioner is Donna Buckley. In fact the workers at DPW call her Commissioner Buckley. Skip hides in his office all day.After seeing the pictures from Charter Group, he should move out of town. He has had 8 years to fix infrastructure and he has failed miserably.

It looks like Franck can't accept the peoples choice, he is fighting to the end. If the new Charter wins he'll have his lawyer contest the results.

ReplyDeleteThose pipe that you are showing were replaced in 2009 from the Geyser Rd water treatment plant. Ask the Mctyuge's why they never replace pipes and sewers. Scirocco did more in 10 years that they did in 30.
