THERE’S A NEW TRIO IN TOWN

   THE THREE MUSKETEERS

Know it all John Franck
Michelle 'Mad Man' Madigan
Skippy
What do you two want me to do?

Before Charter Change started heating up and John Franck promised if the date for a vote was changed from May 30th to Election Day he would take no sides.  Well, the promise was broken about 3 months later when it started to look and sound like many people were getting excited about changing the form of government and many prior supporters of not changing, switched sides and now want change.

The point of this is that as election day draws near 3 Council members are starting to show signs of cracking up and are really helping those who want change instead of their sob stories and ‘presentations’ to gob the truths about changing to a Mayor/Council/Manager form of government.

Now though back to the caption.   Before February when Franck made his promise to stay clear of the process with a Commission promise of an Election Day vote on the Charter there were on the Council the ‘3 Musketeers’.  These 3 (Madigan, Scirocco and Matheisen) voted in block about 99 ½% of the time.  Frank and Madigan could not stand one another and Madigan was picked up on the microphone once in a while swearing at or calling Franck names.  He likewise although not as constant or disgusting as she  challenged her aptitude with dealing in the finances even referring to her at a Council meeting as just a librarian.

Once Commissioner Matheisen announced his decision to support Charter Change and his reasons why, the ‘3 Musketeers’ realigned themselves (with new Cavalier feathered hats of course) made up of Franck, Madigan & Scirocco.  Folks, everything from there went downhill, Council meetings became (if you can believe it) more contentious, the 3 Musketeers  being nastier with citizens and the other 2 Council members.

The presentations they put on at meetings can only be referred to as comedy routines.
This is a prime example of when politician’s that can’t stand each other band together when a clear and present danger, that of losing their power seems imminent.

The 2 things to look at with these 3 are ‘follow their money’ and the ‘political patronage’ they engage in not to mention the mass amounts of money we’ve lost in lawsuits because of their decisions.

SKIPPY IS DUMB AS A JACKASS
You have to read the story at http://www.saratogian.com/general-news/20171019/spa-city-commissioner-unhappy-with-message-from-charter-commission-official  It's a hoot

This definition fits Skippy to a tee -
Chicken-Shit - Petty, insignificant, lacking courage, lacking manliness or effectiveness

  1. What a Republican Party in Saratoga Springs. The Republican Chair is a disbarred attorney, whose entire family can no longer practice law.
The top of the ticket is Mark Baker whose personal life is imploding as we speak.
Mark baker's personal life has caused Senator Kathy Marchoine to completely distance herself from Baker.
All photos of baker have been removed from her Facebook page. Most high ranking Republicans have received a formal letter denouncing Baker because of his less than ethical behavior.
Baker's own girlfriend Marti LaDue has confided in many that Baker's Personal life is a mess.
His campaign material takes about Ethics and Integrity. Yeah Right.
According to his own girlfriend, Baker has had numerous investigations from NYS Child Protective Service THIS YEAR. CPS is reviewing Baker's conduct with his teenage daughter.
    Ethics and Integrity Yeah Right.
Baker's behavior of late involves alleged affairs with none other than Commissioner Michele Madigan.
Baker's girlfriend alleges that the duo of Mark Baker and Michele Madigan regularly meet and have more than campaign conversations. Quite a few sources in City Hall have said that Mrs Madigan is no stranger to extra special friendships with prominent men. Unlike Baker, Mrs Madigan is married and lives with her husband Kevin Madigan. What is going on in City Hall?

    1. Matt has a lot of suits, and I don't mean the three-piece kind.
The law firm was a joke.

    2. Salacious accusation such as this from someone afraid to show who they are? If you are willing to write false create CPS issues how low would you go?

  2. The Baker - Madigan relationship is never ending. The recent lawsuit loss really smells bad. NYS Election Contributions website clearly shows that Mark Baker and many members of the City Center Board were donating money to Madigan campaign finances while Madigan is voting on changes the laws regarding the city center parking garage.

These two should take their "partnership" and leave town before they the law catches up with them.

    1. Of course, follow the money. These people do not want to let go of the power of getting what they want out of politics.

  3. I was on the fence about Charter Change trying to get a bit more information of the benefit for changing, that is until watching last night's Council meeting and seeing Franck & Madigan making asses out of themselves throughout the meeting. I'm voting YES. I can't believe there is no one running against these 2. Is the Republican dead or are they making more money from the Democrats not to run someone? Franck & Madigan are an embarrassment to all Saratoga residents.

    1. check out Charter Change V.P Pat Kane's rant, caught on tape, which makes him out to be a fool.
Google it, I am sure you will find it.
If he represents the C C commission, they were duped.

    2. sometimes when all you get out of the 3 unopposed candidates is ranting every time they open their mouth you get frustrated yourself and rant and believe me there are many people ranting over the 3 Musketeers

  4. Finally someone calling Skippy out for what he really is. Good job, commission or not.

  5. I can’t believe it’s taken Pat Kane this long to realize the idiot Scirocco is. He’s literally Madigan’s puppet! I also find it amusing how totally disgusted Scirocco & the rest are disgusted at Kane’s voice message, but fine it acceptable for Madigan & Scirocco to treat the speakers at public comment period the way they do!

  6. Well, we finally found out who the Captain is.
Mr Kane, you sir, are an idiot.

    1. Ha, that line has already been tried, sorry no Kane here but I will say he is anything but an idiot.

  7. What's the expression? No one likes a truth teller. I am so sick of the petty sanctimonious townspeople who feign shock anytime anyone has the audacity to tell somebody the truth. So what Kane scolded Skippy via voicemail. You have never sent someone a scathing email or voicemail? Please. Kane is simply calling Skip out. City politics is run like a carnival. We deserve better.

  8. So I just walked through Congress Park. In between the art center and the carousel is a tree. In that tree is a tangled mess of widow-makers that if they came down would certainly kill a parent and child. This is been up there for a year.
Does Skippy and his minions not do any tree surveys whatsoever. This is Skippy's "if it ain't broke don't fix it" policy that's going to get many people hurt or killed. We need profession.

  9. I keep seeing people putting forth the idea that Mark will receive some sort of payment form City Center if the parking project is completed.

It would seem if you want the truth all you need to do is ask the current Executive of City Center. I have found him to be open to conversations.

    1. You see right, it won't be up to the new Director but up to the Board who promised the payment in the beginning. Most of the Board is a who's who of top Republican insiders (as is Mark Baker) and that scenario will not change if he is elected. Look at the preferential treatment and endorsement he got having his " "BAKER FOR MAYOR, Proven Leadership, Ethical Practices." run on the electric lighted outside the City Center which is owned by the City and he is running for a City elected position, Baker ethical? I don't think so.
Ryan McMahon, the authority's executive director admits, however, "that it's a bit strange as Baker was the founding executive director at the City Center. Baker spent 33 years there and retired at the end of 2016. He was the only executive director there throughout its history until McMahon took over the job this year.
Baker, who in 2015 earned $114,820 from his position, which included use of a car and a bonus for his work on a parking garage, retired in 2016."

Conflict of interest or what? The City Center is owned by the City. Mark Baker is the retired Director of the City Center. The Board of the City Center includes the following:
      Joseph Dalton - Chairman
      Richard L. Higgins Vice Chairman
      Roger Goldsmith Secretary
      Tom Roohan -
      Shelby Schneider
      Charlie Wheeler
      Dan Pickett
      Mayor Joanne Yepsen - Ex-Officio
Todd Garofano - Ex-Officio – Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau
David Harper - City Center Attorney (Former Chairman of the City Republican Committee)

    2. I can only think you are setting up a straw man argument as it is better to leave this an open issue. The head of a State Authority would clearly know what funds are committed and getting access to contracts would be a simple FOIL request.

I guess baseless accusation are better then facts in elections season.

    3. Then foil away. The new Director says Baker received a bonus (for how much he didn't say) and that's good enough for me.

      Delete
  10. Why should Baker have gotten a bonus for working on the garage, wouldn't that be part of his job? It looks like his Board has taken care of him and is continuing to do so. Ethics? I don't think so, it seems he has started down the unethical path already.

  11. Whatever Franck, Madigan & Skippy are doing at the Council table at meetings regarding Charter Change, PLEASE KEEP IT UP. You three are causing more people to wake up and change their minds and now will be voting YES for Charter Change. Thank you.

  12. So, Michele Madigan is not running in 2009, what a surprise. If the new Charter passes she would not run for a Council seat because that would fit in to her power ego and if the Charter doesn’t pass she would not be able to get elected dog catcher. She is putting this City in financial jeopardy, a $1,625,000.00 budget deficit for the last fiscal year, spending $750,000.00 for a new bathroom for herself and with sales tax income going down doesn’t seem to know what to do and this year will be as bad or worse. The only thing she can do is to raise taxes 2 years in a row so that will end her career anyway. She agreed with her buddy Skippy to eliminate the water hookup fee and shift the cost to every homeowner in the City while forgiving Sonny Bonacio $2 million dollars of back fees and that was pure income to the City for infrastructure. She will leave this City much worse off that she found it. If the Republican leadership had half a brain they could have put a homeless person up against her and he or she would have beaten her, the pompous attitude and vitriol attitude she spews at meetings has shown what type of person she really is and her ties to Mark Baker is sickening. Must we wait 2 years Michele, can’t you just leave now?

  13. I watched the last commission meeting and in particular Skippies rant about no one wanting to run for office because of the abuse that commissioners receive. I think his words were "who in their right mind would run for office to receive all this abuse?" Several times.
He is running for reelection right?
Did Skippy just admit he is not in his right mind?
Did Skippy just call Michael and John crazy for running for reelection?
    I think he did.
If these crazy commissioners, by their own admission, are the only ones that will run for office it is time to try something else.
Is there a recall option for admitted mental incompetance?

  14. John Franck and Madigan are so afraid of losing their Commissioner jobs they are going crazy with false information.
