Well, the Primary and the incumbent Commissioner Madigan
lost. Madigan will not be on the
Democratic line on the ballot but instead will be down near the bottom because
she received the nod from 2 endorsement Party’s. She should step down and let the Democrats
run their choice if she is really a Democrat.
The Democratic Committee should now pull their endorsement of Madigan
and give it to Morrison along with a $1,000.00 donation as they did for
Madigan, anything short of this is political gamesmanship and further shows
that along with Committee Chairman Courtney DeLeonardis as the lead instigator
is further dividing the Dems. Also
having your husband as the City Attorney (Vincent J. DeLeonardis)
who just received his second large
raise in salary she may owe Madigan for her vote. I guess in Saratoga a Democrat
is not really a Democrat unless you have a friend as leader of the Party in the
City to protect a loser. Maybe, with all
the large Republican donations Madigan received there appears what was talked
about months ago that Madigan, Mayor Kelly and candidate for Public Safety
Robin Dalton (which will be a discussion in the future) met with the County Republican Chairman to run
as a team with promises to benefit the 3 candidates. This could be the collusion the Democrats have
been talking about. Also watching
Tuesday’s Council meeting Madigan looked like a deer in front of headlights
along with Super Skippy , that is dazed and confused most likely from her
stinging loss but Skip did what he does best and tried to complete a few
sentences. He stated after 23 uh’s and uhm’s
that he has been in politics for a long time and has never, never seen a board
get along so well together (um, it looks like he truly is in bed with Madigan).
The Democratic Party should do the right thing and
support the winner of the Primary so she can carry the Democratic line to
victory.
Now, moving on to another topic. The City Hall renovations are spiraling out
of control with the City’s insurance company paying much less than
expected. Madigan, in her zeal of not
raising taxes over her time in office which is not a good thing and spending
down the reserve fund to keep homeowners from not having a tax increase may see
in the bad results of this in a large tax increase in this year’s budget or
certainly next year’s no matter who win the election for that position. Madigan has duped taxpayer’s in Saratoga for
years and that should be a good reason to vote for Morrison.
“We’ll be having an executive (meeting) to figure this out, because this is a unique position,” said Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee Chairwoman Courtney DeLeonardis. While the full Democratic Committee is not scheduled to meet until September, DeLeonardis said the seven-member executive committee may meet as soon as early next week to decide how to proceed moving forward.
ReplyDeleteUnique position????? The Democratic Party endorses the Democratic nominee who is running on the Democratic line and that is Morrison, is that too hard for you to understand Courtney DeLeonardis? Madigan is running as an Independence candidate not as a Democrat.

ReplyDeleteA Grand Bargain was been made to wrap Madigan, Kelly (2 Dem's) with Skippy Pie and Dalton (2 Rep's) under some sort of Unity Flag.
Well, first Mr Moran and Mr Hicks both decided to get in the way of that idea. But the thinking was it won't matter. This was easy, a lock they figured.

So now it is obvious this will NOT be so easy after all.
The result of this reality check? Watch for some vicious, vicious dirty tricks, character assassinations, and outside money galore flowing in.
Now guess what? It has already started. I've heard some scary stuff in the past week. It is now starting to break. I'm sure you are catching wind of it as well. And it's only July.
So John: are you just going to sit in the bleachers here as your party gets sold out or sold off to the Republicans?

So, Madigan looks like she applied enough money and pressure to the Democratic Ex. Committee to keep her endorsement, pitiful. She has already started receiving money from Republican deep pockets and the smear campaign against Morrison by Madigan, Kelly & Dalton has started and that campaign is very well funded. I heard that Dalton has hired an out of State PR firm and will pay for them to do campaign work for the Kelly and her hit man Madigan. Voters beware.

She has absolutely no position except to denigrate Madigan with inuendos and garbage and the fact that she's sleeping with Billy McTygue who only wants her in the position for his own sense of vengance and ego.

Kaufmann & LaSalle will be using every dirty trick to keep this election in the gutter. The Independence candidate, the Democratic Mayor and the Republican Socialite will run this election as Dalton ran the School Board election with money, an outside Pr firm and as much muck to try and get themselves elected.

DeleteYes, I support Michele Madigan and I've never hidden that fact. Have I said some less than flattering things about Hicks and his campaign manager? Yes - based on an actual meeting with them that I set up to see if I could clarify some things I'd heard and things Hicks, himself had said.. You see before I make judgements about people, I actually make an attempt to get to know them. Something, you both might want to consider if you want to spout off. Or, would that mean that you might actually have to base your drivil on facts and not vitriolic BS.
So, to clarify, I NEVER use the words Antifa or terrorist nor did I accuse Hicks of any nefarious (that came later and not from me) I simply reported my own perception of a meeting I had with him - the fact that I was no impressed with his responses and the fact that his campaign manager tried to answer each for him. If that, to you, is attacking then you have very thin skin indeed.
So, I sign this with my own name as I feel confident in my ability to stand by my comments and opinions. Too bad you can't say the same.
Not to sure about you not using Antifa and terrorist but people have heard you using them. I don't miss posts and put up everyone I get so you only give me credit when you say "let's see if that gets posted", so you must be forgetting to send them. I am a very happy person but call it like people see it. Also, I don't need to discredit people, they do that to themselves.
DeleteIt is a shame that the Chamber of Commerce destroyed the 4th of July celebration. The event was built up over the years as one of the best in the area and even won a national award. Also the Chamber screwed up Hats off for the opening weekend of the Saratoga track season. The moral of the story, if you have a great event and turn it over to the Chamber to run, they will screw it up royally. Thanks, Schmuckus.

ReplyDeleteI haven't heard about this but the way Madigan has dragged us down I wouldn't be a bit surprised if every parking spot 5 blocks off of Broadway in every direction has a parking meter. It's coming folks if Madigan is still in office on Nov. 6th

I don't believe it either. A story to start a rumor, Madigan is losing steam among Democrats, her only hope is she gets more support from Republicans (the dopes) than Morrison gets.

ReplyDeleteAs a Democrat your happiness may not be lasting long. While they may or may not be talking (90% sure they aren't, just a false post) there is no love lost between the two. The homeless problem is growing in Saratoga Springs weekly with "tent areas" splattered around the City and no one has done a thing about it in all the years it has been a problem. Reports about the homeless abusing citizens are rising Along with rapid City growth comes a rapid homeless crisis.
